Founded in 1994 in Penang, Malaysia, Daya started out as a pioneer in the domestic specialized polymer compounds industry.

Building on these achievements, Daya has grown and taken on greater challenges in the past decade.  We became a public listed company in July 2005 with the aim of building a platform for us to realize our ultimate vision to be a major oil & gas player. Through a series of acquisitions, strategic alliances and organic expansions in the years following our IPO, we have grown into an integrated oil & gas group with an extensive portfolio of both upstream and downstream services. Among these services are marine HVAC manufacturing, design,and installation, project management construction and fabrication services for oil and gas, including O&M services, specialise well intervenion and diagnostics services, and chemicals. We have also expanded geographically outside the country, with presence in Indonesia, Myanmar, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia.

Driving the business of Daya today are two core operating business units:

• Oil & Gas;
• Technical Services

Our O&G Chemicals business is carried out by Daya Secadyme Sdn Bhd ("DSSB"). Licensed by Petronas since the early 1990's, DSSB is involved in the complete logistic, trading, distribution of specialty chemicals and catalysts, oilfield chemicals manufacturing and supply, and provision of technical services to the downstream and upstream of O&G sector.  It holds various ISO certifications such as ISO9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certification.

DSSB is a pioneer provider of bulk chemicals in returnable semi-bulk containers in Malaysia.  We have over the years invested heavily in tank equipment and logistic facilities in order to provide a total delivery solution for a wide range of chemicals to our extensive downstream clients. With a team of highly-experienced engineers, chemical professionals and logistic specialists, we manage and deploy a sizeable fleet of ISO tanks and semi-bulk containers dedicated to ensuring superior service quality and uncompromised safety to all our customers. We hold a number of important chemical licenses from Petronas, and represent international principals with different specialty chemical products, all of which are on exclusive basis.

The products & services covered by our O&G Chemicals division include:
