Foto Shangri-La opened its first retail outlet at Equatorial Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Foto Shangri-La has come a long way from its humble beginnings as a small retailer in photographic equipment with a staff force of only 5 employees. Today, Foto Shangri-La is a market leader in the offline and online retail of Digital Cameras, Headphones, Earphones & Portable Speakers, comprising of retail outlets in the Klang Valley and online stores in Lazada, Shopee & Lelong. Another related business activity is the importing and exporting of related products.

In March 2007, Foto Shangri-La expanded by opening our first Sony Centre at Mid Valley Megamall, selling full range of Sony products such as Digital Cameras, Video Cameras, TV, Home Theatres, PlayStation, MP3 Players, Headphones, Earphones, Portable Speakers, Voice Recorders and related accessories. It is more than just a one-stop Sony Centre providing great value products. To date, Sony Centre at Mid Valley Megamall remained as the top and preferred Sony Store in Malaysia.

Foto Shangri-La ventured into the online channels in September 2015 and now have online stores in Lazada, Shopee & Lelong, selling brands like Sony, GoPro, Fujifilm, JBL, Jabra, Skullcandy, Fiio, JayBird, Audio-Technica, AfterShokz, Plantronics, Shure, etc. Apart from our own Foto Shangri-La online stores, we also run Sony, GoPro and JayBird online stores in Lazada, Shopee & Lelong. Today, Foto Shangri-La ships hundreds of products daily to happy consumers all over Malaysia. Most of our products are shipped out from our warehouse within 24 business hours.

June 2019, Foto Shangri-La expanded into the courier business, opening a franchise MBE store at Jalan Sultan Ismail (Beside Maybank Bukit Bintang), offering courier services from international brands such as Fedex, UPS, DHL eCommerce, TNT, Aramex, PosLaju, Gdex, City-Link, FMX, Ninja Express & Lazada Express. MBE Jalan Sultan Ismail also serves as E-commerce drop off point for Lazada & Shopee sellers as well as collections and returns for Lazada customers. Other services like mailbox rentals, printing, photocopy, etc are also available.
